Why can't I download the presentations from your site?

  • First, which Internet Browser are you using, hopefully it's Netscape because I can easily fix this problem. If you are using Netscape, close it and use Internet Explorer to download the programs. I use FrontPage 2000 to create my web site, this means it writes HTML code to work the best with Internet Explorer. So if you are using Netscape Navigator or Communicator, try Internet Explorer and this should work.

Once the file downloaded, I was not able to open and view it, how can I see the file?

  • Do you have an unzip program? Each resource available for download on this site is zipped. You will need an unzip program to unzip the file before PowerPoint will be able to see it. If you do not have an unzip program, go here to www.winzip.com and download the evaluation FREE copy. It has a expiration date on it, but you can exceed the date and use the program indefinitely.

I can see the file from your site, but PowerPoint will not open it, what's wrong?

  • Or, the version of the presentation may be newer than your PowerPoint software. If you have PowerPoint 97, and having trouble opening the file, email me and I will send you an alternate version you can use. dan@vbnhq.com

I do not want to receive updates from your site anymore, how can I get you to quit sending me emails?

  • Reply to my email with "No More Please" in the subject line.

I want to get updates from your site when they become available, how can I get emails for that?

  • Just fill out one of the many forms found here at the site, include your name, rank, and valid email address.

Who are you and why are you doing this?

  • This site was first developed by Jason Scott Blanchard, a 25V - Combat Camera / Documentation Specialist. He use to make training films and recruiting videos at Fort Knox. The reason he did this is, I saw a need for this type of web site on the Internet, their are too many soldiers in the Army that lack the ability to find resources they need. He also felt, "why reinvent the wheel," why should soldiers spend time creating a class for training, when they can spend more time training. eArmy assumed the site late Jan 02.

How much time does it take to do this web site?

  • When the site first began, I spent about 20 hours a week working on the site after I got off work each day. This lasted for about a year. Once the site got on its feet, I spend about 5 hours a week, maintaining, creating new areas, and advertising the site.

I sent you an email a long time ago and never received an answer back, why not?

  • Try again, under new management.
